Pioneer quad QX 646 needs new lamps... how to install?

I just got a Pioneer QX 646 4-channel receiver that needs some new lamps.

I see the LED ones for sale.

How do I replace the burned out lamps?

im sure the same as 949 but fewer,which are you speaking of? indicator or illumination? remove the faceplate and then the dial face. fuse leds are behind for illumination use a pair of hemostats works the best. indicators are either glued in or welded to the rubber from heat. i use a small jewelers screwdriver to poke in around the bulb and rubber, it helps but a lot of times they break anyway i push them through to the inside with a barbeque skewer with a blunted end. illumination to the meter on a 949 is a screw fastened cover
