Just picked up this Pioneer SM-G205 tube receiver.
I can't believe it has 19 tubes!
Looks pretty old. Does it work?
Haven't powered it up yet. Made in 1963.
THE TUBES! Seriously though - would love to hear how it sounds.
Spec's say about 16W per channel. Probably IHF rating considering it's age. But the ECL-86 (6GW8) is supposedly good for 9W per tube maxx'ed out. Say about 6.5-7 watts reasonably run, or about 13-14W per channel @ 1kHz into 16ohms. Schematic is available @ HIFI ENGINE.
