I wondered if you fine ,fairly knowledgable people could help me. I just purchased an sx 1050. It is in very good shape except the glass is missing from the faceplate. I would like to get this fixed as soon as possible. any ideas? I payed 165.00 dollars for it. Was this a good deal?

I think the price is o.k. for this timeless piece of High-Fidelity.

Maybe someone can build you a new glass. It should not be so difficult.
But if you are searching for a parts reciever, you can take SX-850, SX-950 or SX-1050 because they all have the same size of glass I think :thmbsp:

Cut plexi for the face. I have one here I did that for.

I just made a replacement out of plexiglass for my Pioneer QX-747. I've also heard of several folks getting a glass shop to custom cut and drill a piece of glass real cheap. If you can't figure out the exact size, make it out of plexiglass first then have the glass shop use it as a pattern.
