pioneer sx 1050 powers up but no sound.

    What are the anode and cathode voltages on D6, D7 and D8? With OK voltages on the board pins the diode voltages will tell you what is keeping the relay from energizing. They form an OR gate of sorts. If D8 proves to be the oddball of the three I bet you that C1 and C2 are those bastard blue Sanyo capacitors that are causing the problem.

    I just saw someone asked the same thing on post #41 of the OTHER thread.

    These appear to be all the same people and amp as the OTHER thread. I suggest we stick to one thread and avoid confusion for all concerned.

    I did have a thread open about the protection relay earlier.I apologize for the confusion.It appears i may have two seperate issues'One with the amp board,and one with protection board.
