Did it pull the pin off the board or just break a wire wrapped wire? Pin 2 is right beside Pin 1.

I guess you're going to have to restring a new piece of wire. White wire preferable but not a necessity.

My soldering techniques are very bad (probably because I have never done it before) HAHA

Don't use the SX-1280 as practice. Find a piece of junk at the thrift store and practice on it.

Will go and buy some tomorrow. Will have to find out how to do it! And on the switch part, how can that be fixed?

It looks like the 4 prongs just need to be crimped to the switch body. I would remove the switch from the chassis to accomplish this. Carefully........

I would also use just a little JB weld epoxy.
