Pioneer SX-1980/Holy Grail of Vintage Audio?

I came across Pioneer and Sansui tube receivers on ebay and they were battling on in the range of US$ 3,XXX. along with some Westinghouse monster tube gears at that range !!!

When I touch the tuning knob,the fine tune light comes back on and I can hear the radio as long as I don't let go of the knob

Seems like a grounding problem as your finger on the tuning knob cue it - Knobs were brushed aluminium. I would check the grounding on the tuning board.
