Pioneer SX-650 - Broken Power Switch

Hi everyone. Today I scored an SX-650 for ten bucks! The previous owners or someone at the thrift store had busted the knob clean off. I can't exactly tell which position the switch is stuck in and there's no way for me to turn it from the remaining post. Any suggestions on how to go about this?
Also, when it was plugged in I felt a very faint vibration coming from the unit. Is this normal?

The switch also controls the speaker selection. So it would seem to be needed for operation. IIRC one from a 450 thru 750 should work. The shaft should just go in no need to rewire the whole switch.

To fix the vibration unplug and rotate the power plug 180 degrees (really!).

Awesome, sounds easy enough.

Is this really true? lol
Yes - one leg of the AC power goes through a very high value resistor to the chassis as a ground - your feeling the wall power at a very low current.
Flipping the plug is also a way to sometimes fix issues with 60 cycle hum.
