Pioneer SX-750 BOM list Complete and Updated.

the rectifier cap is driven always, to the voltage it is driven to (how is that for a circular answer) so the whole 'no less than 1/3 of cap voltage' adage does not apply, it aint a momentary signal.

you might have to play games with diameter vs height to get em to stick in the metal rings - it THAT is the overriding factor. Me, function over form, I will gladly chop up some phenol board and screw that to the chassis and push the leads thru the holes and solder to em...to get any movement that would jeopardize the leads hitting chassis, you would pretty much have to be in a plane crash which if you think about it, might mar the silver face a wee bit.

Ok Roger that

BOM list has now been tidied up and updated on opening post.
Just need to find suitable Main filter caps. Will also update when possible.
*** Caps now included***

If you're referring to the filter caps, I did notice some had a tolerance up to 85 degrees C and others had it up to 105 degrees C.
Would it be the general consensus to go for the higher tolerance then ?
So it's a pick of the last 3 then ?
Is there something special about the Cornell Dubilier over the Nichicon ? It's double the price for very similar specs.

I'd pick 647-LGU1H153MELC
The 85C vs 105C is somewhat meaningless in this application. best ripple current and lowest esr are specs to watch for.

I'd pick 647-LGU1H153MELC

I would have picked this too and just had to modify the clamp. Just needed some reassurance. The tabs didn't fill me with too much confidence, but hey, do the best with what you have right ?

I like those 80-ALT22A153DE063, nice big solder tab

I agree Rick. I was somewhat relieved to see those chunky tabs. Exactly what the doctor ordered. They are also 40mm ! Perfect for the swap out. I think I will go with these Kemet units.
Thanks everyone for the help. Much appreciated

Jumping on this excellent information. Thank you for sharing!

Getting ready to do a SX-750 here. Came from an original owner who bought as a reward to himself two weeks after discharge from the U.S. Marines.

Your welcome Spenser. It's the least I could do to give back for all the help I've had in the past. If the list helps one person, I'm happy.
If it helps a multitude, I'd be even more happier.
Without the collaboration of others, these BOM lists couldn't exist. I have to acknowledge those who have also contributed to help complete this for me.
Good luck with your project.
I have two 750s to do once I receive my bits.
All the best.

Hi awesomeaudio!

Man, this post is so timely! I am working on restoring my old SX-750 and this is just the perfect up to date list that I was looking for! Thank you SO MUCH for compiling the list of parts!

I had a couple things to add and ask.

1) In your BOM LIST ACTUAL QUANTITIES 8th part from the top you missed number 6 in the 647-UKL1H4R7KDDANA.
2) I just tried placing the order and 512-1N5404 (Rectifier) is out of stock. Did you have the same issue? If so, what is the adequate substitute?
3) I edited your BOM list to include the pipe ( | ) symbol for easier ordering on Mouser (Where you can just copy and paste the list). Here it is:

647-UKL1H2R2MDAANA | 6
647-UPW1H100MDD1TD | 4
647-UPW1H101MPD | 10
647-UKL1H010KDDANA | 6
871- B32529C474J | 3
647-UPW1A101MDD | 5
647-UPW1V221MPD | 10

512-KSA1220AYS | 2
512-1n4148 | 10

647-UPW1A221MED | 5
512-KSC945CYTA | 4
512-KSC2383OTA | 3
512-KSC2073TU | 2
512-KSA940TU | 1
512-1N5244B | 2

So I received my order from Mouser and I'm starting with the AWR-099 board. As I was going through the checklist I noticed a discrepancy in the BOM list. Under Semi Conductors, Diodes and Misc the last 3 lines of the AWR-099 section there are two types of Zener Diodes:

AWR-099 D10 WZ-140 (Zener) 512-1N5244B ( 2 )
AWR-099 D11 WZ-240 (Zener) 512-1N5252B

However under BOM LIST ACTUAL QUANTITIES there is only one line item for 3 exact same parts:

512-1N5244B ( 3 )

I compared the specs on both diodes and they are quite different. I am no electrical engineer so perhaps these can be interchangeable, but here are the differences:

512-1N5244B - 14V 0.5W 15 Ohms
512-1N5252B - 24V 0.5W 33 Ohms

My question is, can 512-1N5244B be used in place of 512-1N5252B? Was this an intentional change or perhaps a mistake?

Sorry. Looks like a small oversight.
Its 2 of the 1N5244B and 1 of the 1N5252B.

[ EDIT]. Above items have been updated in original post.

Hey there,

I am mostly done with restoring my own SX 750. Now, I am still trying to figure out which main filter cap I should order.

What do you think about this one:
647-LKG1H153MKN

First off. Apologies. Elapsed time.

Second. Following offered without benefit ANY first-hand experience restoring Pio model sx 750. Mine. Only got so far as face lift.

Assume you carefully checked a. diameter and height replacement part selection b. lead spacing c. lead type. Sorry these elementary question / considerations.

OK those aside.

Personally. LKG. Me likey. IDK. Others more knowledge experience may disagree

And. Also. In for a penny. In for a pound. For the cost of a couple Happy Meals. Bump up the voltage? Take it from 50 to 63. IDK. Again. Check dimensions etc.

LKG1J153MKN

I used the LKG model for my sx 939. A full repair and restore.

Cheers.
