Pioneer SX-838 volumn problem

    Right channel is much louder than left channel.Both sound great.Its just a large mismatch!Any thoughts????I replaced the original volume control with one from an sx-434

    Put DeOxit on/in all the controls, switch/rotate them at least 50 times, there are a lot of them upstream of the volume control.

    I would pull the pre-out / main-in jumpers and reverse them to determine if the problem is in the power amp section or the control amp section. Take a pair of patch cables and plug the left pre out into the right power in and the right pre out to the left power in. If the problem switches sides it’s in the control amp or switches, if it stays on the same side it’s in the power amp section.
