Pioneer VSX-D557 doesn't power on?

Having a issue with this receiver. There is no power at all? Not even a standby light. Is it in protection mode from something? Is there a way to unlock it? It was working the other day. Nothing in the service manual to help either.

tried a hard reset yet? Hold down "band" and "power on/standby" button until "reset?" is displayed.

You mean AM/FM for band?

I held down the AM/FM and the power but nothing.

Factory Reset the System
Unplug all external devices -- like your TV, DVD player and iPod -- before beginning the system reset. Switch the receiver into standby mode by holding down "Band" and then pressing and holding the "Standby/On" button for about two seconds. When you see "Reset?" appear on the display, press either the left or right arrow button or the "Auto Surround/Stream Direct" button until "OK?" is displayed. Confirm by pressing "ALC/Standard Surr." An "OK" message will appear on the display to confirm that the factory reset is underway.

This is the process to hard reset for the newer models. You may have to call tech support to get the process for your unit. It's 201-785-2399

I will have to call. This model doesn't have a ALC/Standard Surr button.
