Placebo or real $15K for a component stand?

What a debacle.
I have a few questions for the OP.
Would you have started a thread about this rack if it had, say, a $500 pricetag? Would you and the other like-minded posters have spent so much time and effort calling BS, asking for measurements, and then butting heads with respondents who disagreed with you?
If your answers are "No, because it's only a $500 rack", then the thread is all about you thinking it was ridiculously overpriced.
That's it. High price drove your thread.
If you asked about the possibility of sonic improvements, without ever mentioning price, THEN you can hang your hat on the 'wanting measurements' argument. Then you could logically proceed to ask about diy alternatives.
But, that's not what you did. By opening with the "Look at this rack, for $15K!" you automatically turned this into another "Eat the rich" thread. When counterarguments were proposed, you and some of your cohorts turned to the lack of technical substantiation in the website. As noted, this discussion quickly degraded into ad hominem attacks.
