Portable Headphones

Striving for Polymathdom!
My wife took my Sony Eggos (MDR-D66SL) and audio cubes no longer has them.

I am borrowing a pair of shure E2c ear buds and they are great. But one caveat, they are not mine.

Can you still get these? One other slight prob is the fact that they completly seal the ear.

You guys have any good suggestions for portable headphones? (no trad. ear buds)

Sure no longer makes the E2C's, although it looks like the Sure SE110's are the replacements for them. I haven't heard the Sures before, but if you are looking for in-ear phones, I have heard Etymotic Research RS-4's and those were nice, very accurate. They are probably more than you are looking to spend (~$200) but they also make a RS-6 model that's less expensive and sounds similar.

If you are looking for over-the-ear type headphones, I have a pair of Sennheiser PX-100's which I love dearly. They aren't that expensive (~$50) and they sound good to my ears.

I have a pair and they have very good sound, they are over the ear type

I seem to be liking the in ear isolation style buds for a couple of reasons. One is portability and size when put up. I worry about the folding headphones and breaking them.

Anybody have any opinions on Ultimate Ears, or Etymotic?
