Somehow I missed that you have picked up an A810. Now that is a real tape machine! Unlike the A807 it is totally modular like a pro deck right?
Yup! Indeed it is. I've really been digging it. Love me some Studers

Among the things I was able to dig out of the storage locker during my recent move: A Nak RX-505 that likely needs belts its been stored so long. I also picked up a 4-track recording head for my Technics RS-1500. New place is small and only for 9 months, but I'm still going to set things up as it all needs to be used (and enjoyed!).

Well Bos, the flip mechanism is slow and I can see new belts are required so I ordered a set from Marrs. It's been a good 15 years since it was run so I'm not surprised. I only searched for it as I also uncovered a box of Jazz tapes (I once thought I had sold off all my cassettes but they keep appearing). I think it will get a trip to Willy Hermann just to make sure it is adjusted properly. I do have a functioning Pioneer Elite deck in storage, if I could just find it.phantomrebel, let us know if that impressive tape deck works okay!
