Marantz SR3100, scored it free from friend who inherited it.

Came across this on Craigslist.
Marantz 1060 with custom birdseye case
Here is a case I built for 1060 you might like
That's beautiful looking!
Just got my Marantz 2270 back from Tom (catrafter), he overhauled it and it sounds AMAZING! Better than any other receiver I have ever owned. The only problem is now I need to upgrade my speakers from KG 5.2's to Forte's!
A wood case would be a nice upgrade as well, at least cosmetically .
a catrafter restored unit must sound really sweet
Thanks for the kind words, Andy.
I think it came out very well, too!
2252b totally resrored
DC 1080 (I need a tone slider!) restored
Not many but they sound so sweet!
Marantz SD 800 Stereo Cassette Deck
This is my Marantz 1030, in a wooden case I made. It sounds great. I've recapped the power board, but it still has a fair amount of idle hiss, so I need to go through at some point and do some more work on it. If you are curious about how the case was made, I wrote about it here: http://mikepick.com/furniture/marantz_build_log.html
Nice. Are you taking any orders?
To tell you the truth, I haven't ever thought about it.
I have a 2230 and 2215b if you ever consider one day.
I have a question, I have a opportunity to get a set of Imperial 6-G speakers. They do not come with grilles. Anyone who have the speaker, can you post pictures of the grillies so I can know the exact ones to get? Also, does anyone know a place I can buy some grillies for them? New or used, doesn’t matter to me.
The 22xx series is quite a bit bigger than the 10XX series, right? I'd need to procure a sample in order to, uh, make plans.
At some point, I need to find a source on a more authentic grill material as well. The perforated steel I used looks great but is heavier than the original cases, which makes it less likely to get warped, but I would be nice to do the wrap-over in the back like the old models.
