Exactly. That's why it's a great deal for anyone not in CA! I'd like to have it myself! It would pass Colorado emmissions in a flash.

It depends on why it did not pass. More than likely it was t/pipe emissions
which are actually a joke in Ca.
Knowing these cars well and a Ca smog tech for 24 years I would assume it
would be a contaminated O2 that would not allow closed loop. As simple as it gets with the ECS in MX5's.
Of course the 4 gas printout would tell the whole story.
