Thinking this is an early unit... unless I am wrong - maybe the within the 1st (100) made?
My other unit is July 1976.

Once I unload some of other units = I will get into this thing full bore. It has broken AM antenna mount and formal antenna. Will need get a replacement. It needs some work = but that is what I am here for.

Looks untouched = 43 years later.

The way i look at it, if my hobbies can generate some income, then they are justified, if they are all about $ out, nothing in return, well then you $ why.
formal antenna. Will need get a replacement.
This might not be so easy, been through that with other models, the AM bar might look the same but they are not the same inductances. Good Luck.

Out of curiosity, how did the main filters test out? Those in my (slightly newer) SX-1250 were all at over 22,000µF, and have reasonable ESR. I left them alone.

The unit dialed in fine with old caps and components. The main filters are gone, and I didn't study (sorry); my experience is the main filters typically measure / test fine with low equivalent series resistance. Typically more of a proactive replacement - albeit a $100 material cost for this proactivity for main filters.

The person I bought the 1250 from found the original antenna bar and mounting ball. The wires were cut too short to resolder. Had to trim back the housing to get enough exposed wire to resolder new leads. The original bracket busted - bought a 3D printed copy.

Not sure who listens to AM much anymore, but it is working and this project is complete.
