Quad 3 tuner antennae question.

I'm looking for an adapter to plug a 75 ohm cable from my antennae to the input plug on the back of an FM3 tuner. Weird little two pin looking thing. Anyone know where I could find one, or something I could make? Thanks. - dan

The 75 Ohm connector is not propitiatory.

Back in the day it was know as a Belling-Lee connector. Now it is know as a PAL connector.

It is a PAL type connector and simple adapters to F style connectors are available on the net.

Using the adapter will eliminate the external (as mentioned above) and the internal matching transformer. This will reduce the inherent insertion signal loss, a good thing.

Be careful, I bought what you show above, it will not work, the center pin is too wide. This is a RCA male to F connector female. Good thing I only spent $10. I said screw that, I drilled a hole in the back of the T-85 and installed a proper "F" jack.

The correct adapters do exist. I can't speak for a particular supplier. Of course one would want to use the correct adapter from a reputable supplier.

The ones that I have purchased in the past have been correct.
