Question about A/B selector

ive always used vintage receivers and whenever I connect a powered sub I use speaker level inputs on the B Side of the amp. I know the powered sub isn't drawing much if any current from the amp but is there a chance that simply enabling a/b at the same time is dividing the available power?

No, because the sub is powered, it will present no load on the amp or receiver.

Using the high level inputs on the sub from any "B" speakers on a receiver or amp is the general preferred connection for powered sub woofers. Some even have speaker connections for the regular right & left speakers when an amp or receiver doesn't have a "B" speaker option.

Speaker "A" will be the normal right and left speaker connection while speaker "B" would normally be for a second pair of speakers but you already knew that.
