Question about DAC`s

Would I see a marked improvement hooking up a dac to my cd player ? Something along these lines......

All depends on the DAC, age amd other things that your CD player has in it. I noticed a huge improvement using a Denon DAC over the one built into my Audiotron network MP3 player and very little in my Nakamichi CD player.

The price is right, I would go for it and if it doesn't do anything, sell it.

Johnny that little toy was $1,200 about 7 yrs ago. So it seems like the price is pretty nice. BTW it's best not to mention auctions that others might find interesting until after you've won or decided you don't really want it. It was incredibly difficult for me to NOT snipe this item just for the sake of winning it. I have a nice DAC but I figure I could always sell it for more come winter time.

Yes, I guess you have a point Mike. Although I was`nt to worried that one of the regulars here would go for something a fellow member was showing interest in. But I forgot about the "guests" :eek


I`ll give er a shot. If its proves with out benefit its nice to know I can prolly unload it with minimal or no loss.
