Rare and Seldom Seen Speakers

KEF Reference 109 Maidstones

One of the rarer KEF's you'll ever find... there's a pair in Italy that I'll throw into Dollars and Sense so this thread doesn't get purged...

Some pretty cool speaks out there.

I have a few oddballs left, but there sure aren't many of these Altec LF-2 subwoofers (circa 1979) floating around out there. The place where I bought it was selling it as a coffee table. :)

The wheels were my addition -- it's freakin' heavy!

Although not that special really, I couldnt find much information on Yamaha NS-700x so consider them rare. I recently acquired this set.

A friend of mine once had some Bifron Speakers or something like that. They had 8 x 4" speakers w/whizzer cones mounted in angled pairs on the front plus one on the back. They actually sounded pretty good.

I have two set of rare speakers:
1. Gale GS401A with original stand (very rare here in USA) and
2. Sequerra Pyramid Metronome model 3 ( I believe only made around 700 pairs).
They have something in common, the same midrange: Peerless K40 for some people one of the best midrange in the audio.

Wow, never seen the LF-2 so nicely finished. Is that the original factory veneer?

I also have Newform Research R645 speakers, they are very nice.

Here is a pair of Tetra 406 speakers (Canadian made).
