Oscar Peterson - Plays Richard Rodgers. CLEF Series Mono, 1954
Most recordings at least have a handful of releases. According to Discogs this was only released once in 1954.

I don't know if any of these are rare, but seems like they could be. My avatar is a 3.75 ips reel of Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine by The Doors. Signed by Densmore at Gray Whale a couple years ago. I handed it to him to sign and he looked a bit startled, turned it over and looked at the back as if thinking, "what the hell is this?" The album is of course not rare, but the reel edition might be. Sounds pretty good.

A Quarterflash promo. One of my favorite bands.

Sonar 10.5 quad reel, The Bohemian French Horn.

Another quad reel, of Debussy piano by Natalie Ryshna.

And finally, a rare Three Dog Night!

David Knopfler ‎– Ship Of Dreams. Germany, CD 2004
Amazing how similar David’s voice and music sounds like Mark's.

IIRC, he left Dire Straits after the first album.

Tricia Lundeen's album on ARK. ARK No. 2218-S. Can't find much on it. One listing on Discogs. Only came in a plain white cover. Lovely voice singing covers of Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Elton John, Stevie Wonder etc. I have no idea if she ever recorded anything else.

Love this kind of stuff. We've all heard all the popular music from the top conductors, bands, and musicians. Just as much passion and work went into creating these works. While not always great, I find listening to them a refreshing experience.

Honk ‎– The Original Sound Track from Five Summer Stories, 1972
I bought this at the time of release on Maui. A surf classic, the music and film is paradise.

one pixel - remember a couple of years ago you sent me that? I finally found the LP in a pawn shop.

The only copy I've ever seen in all my hunting. Id say it's pretty rare. Hard to find, anyway.

Hmm, think I'll try to track down a copy of this film. I could use a dose of paradise this weekend.

Hope you enjoyed it! If you like the music, I can send you the record. One track is noisy though. It's the one album I have two copies of. I got it to give away.

I enjoyed Five Summer Stories, very nostalgic, especially if one were growing up on Oahu in the late '60s and early '70s. That Garry Lopez was an artist, eh? The King Of The Left Pipeliners. Thanks (again) for mentioning & recommending the film.

Glad you enjoyed it. Did you see a 10 year old Laird Hamilton? At the premier on Maui, they had a raffle I was one ticket short of winning the only prize, of any Lightning Bolt board from Gerry’s new shop.

Yep, 10-yo Laird was depicted @ least twice in the film.
