receiver for tuner?

I have not been able to find any sansui tuners. Will it perform the same if I'd rather buy lower model sansui receivers (those 20 watters, since they more available here in my country) and use them as tuners? How do I go about doing it?

What model number receivers are available to you? You might try to find a receiver with pre amp output.

Connect the pre out to a power amp or integrated's main in.

Those small 20 watt receivers probably don't have preamp output connectors so you rather simply connect the tape out connectors on the "tuner/receiver" to the tuner or aux input of your existing preamp/amp.

The tuner performance on the lower end receivers will not be of the same performance as the higher end tuners but for local reception of stronger stations should work fine and keep your system 'all Sansui'.
