Really? I have a '69 convertible. What year was yours? My daily driver from 1989-2000 was a red with white stripe Olds 442 that I drove hard. I got pulled over once in all 11 years I drove it, for speeding (and I was). I think the red car thing is a myth.
Same for a chick driving a red car.. in my experience a girl in a red car tends to be more 'adventurous'.. especially a red 'sports car'. That being said I don't think cops tend to stop red cars more often just because, but if they are red in color and a sports car they do get noticed more easily for whatever they are doing.. and if that means speeding, stretching the definition of the right of way, making an incomplete stop before right turn on red light... that sort of thing, the increased attention because of the racy color and design, particularly a 'sports car', means they will get pulled over more often just because they are more visible to the eye...they attract more attention, are marketed to appeal to that. Fire trucks tend to be red... warning lights tend to be red... stop lights are red for a reason. My instinct would be that any car that is a chick magnet might tend to also be a cop magnet
Hope its not attractive to those great whites.People seem to get out of my way more when I surf my red longboard.
Used to have an old Volvo station wagon. That car was completely invisible to cops. You could drive it any way you wanted. They'd never even look.
Not at all sure about color but I will say that my luck is worse when driving expensive cars.
I hardly ever speed or break the law but when I do, I tend to get nabbed.
I think cops dont need to look at the color of the car, just sit somewhere with a radar and catch what came over the speed limit. But yeah some vehicles attract more for random paper controls thats sure, probably not the red ones
Mine was a 75, not a real desirable year but it handled well and ran the 1/4 mile in 15.8 @ 85 mph all day long. Used to give those 5.0 Mustangs a run for their money. Sold it in 2000 to buy my 55 project (which is also now gone).Really? I have a '69 convertible. What year was yours?
