Replacement Relay for Marantz 2250b

Looking at the schematic of the 2250B P800 and comparing that to a 2245/2270 P800 they look like they function the same. DPDT. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can make that call for you or check them out yourself. The 2245/2270 Relay is MY2 DC24 Mouser Part Number: 653-MY2K-02-DC24
2270: 2250B

The original manufacturer's part number. If it's an Omron relay if you send it to their customer service they will tell you what will replace it, or some of us have already done so for certain relays. For instance, in my QRX-7001 the original relay was marked Omron MY4-02-US-24DC but the current Omron part is MY4-02 DC24

OK I will do that but i do not think that is my problem right now i have to figure out why i am getting that very bright light on my DBT

I have used the MY2-02-DC24 Relay in 2245’s with no issues.
Yes, that relay will work fine in these receivers.
My preference is the socket mount version MY2-DC24(S). It has 2.7mm wide pins with holes which make soldering the wires to, and installation of them easier. :)

To clarify my previous comment, 2245/2270s use MY2 DC24 (S) relays but the relays are mounted slightly differently on the boards and this relay won't directly fit the 2250B.

According to the spec sheet on PN 653-MY2K-02-DC24 version that you mentioned has 2.6mm wide solder pins w/o holes which will fit 2245/2270 receivers.
PN 653-MY2-02-DC24 (non-K), that I linked to above, has 1mm wide solder pins.

So the difference between these two relays is the width of pins - the 2250B uses the relay with the smaller pins to fit the board :)

Edit: yet another typo MY2 DC24 should have read pn MY2 DC24 (S)
Fixed now though.

Thanks so much for that clarification! That helps me a lot and i’m sure others for future ordering.
Here are pics of 2245 relay. Original with the holes and a new one without. Wish I had known
that at the time I ordered 2x. (edit): Good news is can use this one for my 2250B I need to update.

that will mostly likely be a shorted component . quite possibly an output device or power supply rectifier .

Is this the correct relay? MY2-DC24-S? I can't find one with the MY2-02-24-S
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/omron-automation-and-safety/MY2-DC24-S/Z182-ND/307700

In fact, I can't find the (S) model with the -02- designation (PCB pins).

The link you posted is the proper relay for 2245s and 2270s. It has .5mm x 2.6mm tabs with holes to solder the additional wires to.
MY2-02-DC24 has .5 x1mm pins suitable for soldering directly to PCB boards on later models using the MY2 relays such as the 2250B.
