RIP Clement Moorman

Organist in Residence
I am so sad and sorry to inform you that Clem Moorman, a friend of more than 50 years, passed away yesterday at the age of 101. Clem was one of the most wonderful persons I've ever known - talented, funny, charming - just a great guy. He leaves he wife, Kris; daughters Clementine and Melba (Moore), sons Elliott and Gerard and thousands of friends and fans. Surprisingly, he kept performing professionally, playing piano and singing, almost to the end. As he once told me, "You gotta keep plugging. God gave me the ability to do it, and I'm going to do it until he says 'stop.'" A Celebration of Clem's wonderful life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29 at the First Presbyterian Church on Park Avenue, Rutherford. Rest in peace, sweet man!
