RIP-Gordie Howe

A very sad day RIP Mr. Hockey. I had the pleasure to meet him and look at all his hockey collection at his place about 10 years ago. Got a signed hat for my son , he was bigger than life when i meet him .

The Production Line: Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay, Sid Abel. Only time line mates have finished 1,2, and 3 in NHL scoring.

#9 was always the most coveted jersey number on my hockey teams growing up. Gordie Howe will forever be the standard by which all skaters will be compared when someone says they are a "complete" hockey player.

I can't find it but supposedly he met Bob Feller one summer throwing batting practice or something like that and asked if he could take a few swings. So Bob pitches to Gordie and Gordie hits a few home runs.

Not to mention you had to keep your head up against those guys. Those that didn't usually woke up a few hours later...

Howe and Lindsay were talented scorers and tough as nails. Old time hockey, eh?

Gordie Howe Hat Trick - A goal, an assist and a fight (usually won).

RIP, Mr. Hockey...
