Those Rega speakers of Robie's are about the best cone and dome speakers I've heard. Airy and spacious, good tone, great clarity and surprisingly good bass depth and dynamics. The only cone and domers I've heard I think might better them are Kwing's big Harbeths.

My opinions ya understand.

Thanks Tom, Rome, voltcontrol, Ed and cableguy.

Tom, that's very high praise, thanks. I wish I had Blzatrl's Dynaco MKIIIs to drive them with every day. They really sing with some decent tube power.

Pics of some of these systems soon.

I second Tom's praise of those Rega's. What a fantastic speaker that gets so much right. I always like visiting your place as it means good tunes and even better times.

I've owned some Rega speakers and I concur that they are excellent. I'd like to hear your Rega Ela's.

I've seen almost all of Bob's systems. Although, since I didn't need to go to the bathroom, I may have missed a few.

Thanks, John, Art and guiller!

Clay, can't wait to see some of your Fisher deployments.

I had the opportunity to listen to Bob's system(s) for awhile on Saturday. I really appreciate you and Colet's (I know I spelled it wrong) hospitality. My wife really enjoyed visiting with you guys too.

Those Rega's are laughably good. I was very surprised by what I heard. Great opportunity to meet a fellow audio dude and even got the name of an album that I have to purchase now.

Bob, not sure how long it will take me to get to Chicago to pick up my MKIII's after they are fixed but you should probably test them and make sure they are working okay :)

Evan

EDIT; I did use the bathroom, the toilet transmission line is exquisite.

Finally getting around to posting pics of at least one of my systems. Please ignore the clutter. Sorry for the lousy pic quality but I'm learning how to use my daughter's old camera (Fuji Finepix V10) and tried for the rich, no flash look but just ended up with blurry pics, instead.

Main:
* Sumo Athena and Polaris pre and power
* Yamaha T-300 tuner

What, no hallway system....:D

Actually the first time I was at Bob's house he had what is listed as the patio system hooked up in the hallway while we monkeyed around a little with the Genesis crossovers. :thmbsp:

Evan, you're right on. I don't think it's possible to find better hosts. Good folk for sure!

Thanks, Ray. Let me know when the Big Bobs go on tour north of 40° 41' 37" N / 89° 35' 20" W!

What nothing in the kitchen? :D

Yeah those Regas are very good indeed.
I also would like to have Blzatrl's Dynaco MKIIIs...
