Did you guys watch the Royal Wedding earlier? Did you love it?
What Royal wedding?
Sorry, what? Kidding. The MSM was all over it, but I don't watch them.
My wife and I got up at 1 AM to see all the stuff. We really enjoyed the whole day. My wife is a real nut since we went to London in 2015. It seems we can never get enough.
I like everything and especially the older B&W movies. We have seen info. about the new BBC streaming(?) service they are starting. I have always appreciated the audio on
most UK movies and TV series. Am I correct???
I’m sorry Old Man...
But it’s a bit too dry for me !!!
Caught bits and pieces of it.
I actually visited that church last time I was in London but no didn't watch it.
Watched it for a while until that preacher came on and bored us so much, we went to bed instead.
It was prime time here.
Massive old castle, vintage Roller, attractive woman, crazy preacher. Not bad viewing.
The sermon of the Afro-American Bishop Curry (Chicago) was fantastic. I have never seen such a lively thing in a church. Never seen so much body talk of a priest. His main topic was love, not only the love between two people, but love as a universal power. He ended his sermon by quoting Dr. King. Very impressive. I also appreciated the Gospel Choir singing the sixties hit "Stand By Me".
I watched after the fact, but ended up like watching a prerecorded sports program where you knew who won. I had to work, otherwise, I most likely would of watched live.
Stay tuned for the royal divorce!
The cello kid was really cool, too.
Enjoy the music,
The electric Jag convertible they drove to the reception was interesting.
I watched the whole thing live--not so much intentionally, but I am recovering from a serious car crash, and my sleep cycles are centered around my level of pain and doses of pain medication, so I awoke at 4:30 am to "dose up", and there wasn't much else on, so I sat here and watched it.
Pretty much what I expected--a 3 hr "pre-game" show, a 10 minute ceremony that dragged on for hours (thanks to our rambling US minister), and then the all day "post game" show. Not so sure it was all worth the $40M estimated price tag, but not my money--if I were a Brit, maybe I'd feel differently.
I hope for a soon and entire recovering!
Holy cow! Are you OK ? What happened?
As far as the wedding , I paid my respect from the throne .
