Tearing my hair out over this one!
Got the amp a few weeks back in full working order. Only thing noticed was a slight buzz through the speakers with volume at 0 BOTH CHANNELS, whatever source was selected. This remains when volume is increased with no music playing- it has no effect. The noise does sound like a 50hz oscillation but I'm not too sure Unfortunately I don't have a scope to check. It sounds like a connected turntable without the ground....
However, I have fully recapped the unit (including the main filter caps) and replaced most of the transistors on the power amp (minus the NSA drivers) including the relay coil driver Q33. Both regulators on the power board have also been changed, however, the sound is still present
I have checked all the usual suspects- bad solder joints & earths but I just cannot find the problem.
Any ideas/solutions would be most welcome at this point! Thank you.
