How do you describe its sound?

After a massive rebuilt due several problems, using the usual on semi/fairchild, wima, panasonic FC, elna simic II, Omron, yadda yadda yadda... you guys get the idea.
Offset and Bias ok, sinewave ok.

I find it kind of edgy a, too aggressive on the top end, too much ''sss''. It doesn't have that middle range that I love on the others sansuis that I have been playing with (AU-999, AU-517, G-8000, 9090db), Nice bass extension though.
I just that is the first that I just say... Mej

I guess sometimes this units doesn't recover well from surgery? Is just their sound?
I have spend several nights revisiting the work done like a crazy person.

What do you think folks?

Yup ... burn in.

I assUme you used the Silmac II's in critical pre and tone positions, and those can take a lot of hours to break in properly. Kinda like PIOs in that respect.

Get yer listenin' hat on, and git ta listenin!

EDIT > > The wimas CAN be a bit clinical sounding depending on where you put them. I reserve those strictly for bypassing electrolytics.

Oh ... and as far as sound goes? I'd expect that fantastic liquid warm, almost tooby audio we usually associate with the classic Sui ... ohmmmmmmmmm ...
