Sansui 9090, stereo light and AM band problem...

If you don't have the equipment to do a tuner alignment your best option is to listen to the left and right channel output. Use the Mono switch to toggle back and forth between stereo and mono. In mono, the left and right channels will have the same audio output. In stereo they will be slightly different depending on the audio programming. Use a strong station that you know broadcasts in stereo and tune it for maximum signal strength. If it's a talk radio station, if they use different mics for their guests, often they will broadcast them on different channels.
If it's not receiving a stereo signal, that's your problem, not the light.
