Boy was it! The engineers just lined up around the block to place their slide rules and graph paper up against that iconic example of audio engineering. Yay Eight Deluxe! Envious wanna be engineers should just go buy a used JVC and be happy.

Let him have his fun. Technically he is correct. Every receiver was designed by engineers.

And FWIW, the JVC JA-S71 is the only amp I wish I didn't sell.
