Sansui F-6013 board trimmers (for 5000X)

Hi folks,

I have a Sansui 5000x that I'm putting F-6013 boards in, and I was able to find everything listed online except I don't know which Bourns trimmers to use. It looks like one pot is a 1k and the other is a 100k ohm. Does anyone have the correct part numbers?

Does anyone have the correct part numbers?

Depends if you want 'single turn' or 'multi turn' - I am not familiar with the 5000X, so I can't tell you part numbers you need, until you can indicate what orientation you need for the adjustment screw. :)

A picture of the chassis with an installed driver board would help, but I have a feeling someone more familiar with the 5000X will come up with the part number first. ;)

Don't know if this helps but I replaced this one a couple years ago, numbers are as shown. The w102 is the rating. Leads are out from the bottom. ( Looks like I might need to be replacing the other ones soon )

With trimmers located as above with that board orientation I would normally recommend 'side adjust' trimmers. However, because the trimmers are so close to the top of the board (as shown) 'top adjust' is a very good alternative. And in any case the bulky 680Ω resistor would make mounting the 'side adjust' type a bit tricky to say the least.

Despite the Mouser catalogue picture^^ this gives the 'triangle' lead footprint that matches the originals closely.

100KΩ

(Note: These are the trimmer values and part numbers are for the original driver board (is the trimmer positioning the same?) - I don't have the information for the newer driver board - If they are different just give me the values and I'll find you the part numbers. ;) )

Could also rig some mounting lugs/wires to orient this bottom type trimmer but not really needed in this. On the 1040 board it does help to get it over the resistors.

I agree Tom, OR, if it was me I would seriously consider mounting either the trimmers or the large resistor(s) on the track side of the board. ;)

Those are perfect, thank you!
