Sansui G-5000 vs AU-717

Hi

Do they sound similar? I heard so.
I am testing G-5000 now. It has kind of soft bottom frequencies, like Marantz 2270 or even softer. Au-717/AU-517 has higher damping factor so maybe it's a bit harder at low end?

I have an AU-717 and it is definitely not lacking on the bottom end. I did not hear a G-5000 receiver though. Is it up to speck ?

I haven't worked on it yet. It has type of bass like the highly praised Marantz 2270 which I fully restored and recapped, so to some people it's appealing sound. It has plenty of bass but it's soft bass.

I have both the 717 & G6K including the G8 & G9K. I think they are very similar sounding but the 717 has a meatier bottom end. Both are nice sounding. Once you hear a Sansui, what was that about Marantz.
