Hi fellow Audiokarma members.
Got a very rare Sansui SAX-350D today, but it's the 100V 50/60Hz version for the Japanese market at the time.
The fuse has an option of 100-127V of 2Amps. , or 220-250V 1.5 Amps.
Questions:
I cannot get a 100V transformer, so I'll have to use a 220/110V stepdown transformer, (will buy a 500W transformer since the Sansui has a power consumption of 135W), Is that safe?
I do not crank up my receivers, I prefer low volume listening.
Will the Sansui run with a 110V transformer without trouble or overheating? The previous owner did that, without troubles or overheating?
Is there a way to change the voltage inside?
Can anybody help me with this technical matter?
