I'm new to the vintage scene and I have a pair of SP-55A speakers S/N 96050052 and 42. I'm trying to figure out what year they are from and can't find that model on the list. Are they rare?

Your speakers were manufactured in May of 1965. They were the 42nd and 52nd units off line 9 that month. Sansui gear from the mid '60s is fairly rare and that's part of the reason we haven't had any listed in the database . . . until now. I'll add your serial numbers in the June update file. Thanks for posting the serial numbers.
