Thor, You are a strange yet likeable variation on the human race. :)

Not as much listenin' as usual for a Saturday:

John Hiatt: Riding with the King (side 2) first listen on vinyl
The Kinks Low Budget (both sides on reel) first listen on reel
Traveling Wilbury's Vol. 3 (Side 1) first listen on vinyl

All relatively new scores on their respective formats.

I haven't listened to a CD on my main system in almost a month.

    It sounds fine, fine, fine.

Now, maybe a little Ten Years After

A little I Robot from Alan Parsons, some Waylon and Willie and a little Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison...all on vinyl in the Man Cave at wonderous manly volumes. Oh, and there was Olivia Newton John in the living room on CD, but it was OK, it always puts the wife in the Physical mood :D

Getting ready for the show tonight

A friend invited me to the Type O Negative show tonight, so I am listening to October Rust right now. Don't know anything else about them.

Doing some Howlin Wolf London Sessions right now. You know the one with Clapton, Winwood, Wyman, and Watts.

I enjoy the part where " The Wolf" teaches Clapton how to play Blues Guitar.

" No, No man it goes like this", and Eric trying so very hard to play.

Perhaps Chester didn't know Eric was God.

    Regards,

    Joe

Hey Joe - I was spinning some Wolf vinyl earlier today... "THE CHESS MASTERS". I also have the one you spoke of. Wasn't it "Little Red Rooster" he was trying to show the youngsters?

    Great stuff. ;)

    The Guthrie Legacy

Just found a good LP copy of Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie Together In Concert and I love it. Arlo, the son of Woody is always a good time if anyone ever has the time to see a show. Its neat his family is the band. Son, Daughter, and Son In Law. He is constantly on tour. I hope to get "Together" autographed to go with my signed copies of "Alices Restaurant" and "Hobos Lulaby".:D

Tube - "Washington County" by Arlo is a masterpiece as well. ;)

    Especially "Gabriel's Mother's Highway Ballad #16" IMHO...

    Moon, that's the one.

I always play that track for the "big" Clapton fans who come over.

Hawkwind "Space Ritual" Put this in your headphones and smoke it. This band had Lemmy from Motorhead on bass years before Motorhead was ever thought of. Kind of hard to put a finger on the music classification. Just mind blowing. If you enjoy Pink Floyd with a twist of MC5 or maybe even techno this is well worth a spin. Like Floyd no need to pick up the needle and skip tracks. Just let the music play!:zoom:

"SPACE RITUAL?" That's one of my favorites! I saw Hawkwind in 1974 with Lemmy. It was unbelieveable... (what I remember of it that is.)
