I was given a rather clean looking 70's era receiver over the weekend. It belonged to a friend who passed away, it was boxed up in his garage. It does nothing when plugged in, no lights, no sound. Both 6 amp power supply fuses are blown and there's a lot of discoloration on the power supply board.
It uses two STK 082 chips, so I'm guessing this is about 32 wpc?
I did a quick google search for the part number and came up empty.
Its also missing the top off the power button but the switch still works.
Might anyone be familiar with these? It appears to be built by Sanyo or at least uses a lot of Sanyo parts.
Any idea what happened to the power supply?
It appears that the single transistor on the PS board got extremely hot before the fuses blew.
