Setting up a home sports bar and have Q's

My buddy is setting up a home sports bar and asked me to spec it out and install it (because I have low voltage experience). As happy as I am to help him out, I haven't done a setup like this before.

Here is the nitty gritty...

The room is about 25' x 16'. 2 TVs; One will be a projector and the other 50" LED getting source from 2 Dish Joey boxes and wants to hook an Xbox to one of them. He also has a Firestick he'd like to utilize as well as a Blu-Ray DVD player. For this I assume we will have to use a switch. I was thinking about a True Matrix 4x4. Thoughts? Suggestions?

He wants flush mount speakers, preferably in the ceiling, but in-walls will be acceptable. Free standing speakers are not possible. Since I don't know of any flush-mount speakers that provide solid low freq, I told him he would need a 10"-12" subwoofer. We have a small nook where we can put it. Is that acceptable?

He cares less about volume and more about sound quality, but I know him and there are times he'll want to crank it up. So keep that in mind.

Budget is about $800. I hope I covered all the bases. If not, or if there are additional Q's, please ask. We're going shopping on Friday and would like to have an idea of what I need to buy. Equipment, wires, UPS/surge protector, etc...

Thank you in advance.

I have done quite a bit of HT installs. From budget to no budget ...

This will get you started :

Dayton audio are budget oriented, but have quite the bang for their buck. Read install instructions, it matters.

My favorite in wall speakers are Paradigm, they cost some bucks, but do not sound like in wall trash. Their CL elite series is the bomb.... I know you stated your budget at $800, but I include a link for curiosity :

Have fun... and remember, do not run any audio wires parallel with the romex.

Thank you for the quick reply and suggestions.

What are you using for the main power source? A decent AVR with powered zone 2 outputs (including HDMI) sounds like it will control all the sources and allow the TVs to have the same or different sources and 2 (or 3) audio zones. That will really simplify things though it takes a huge chunk out of the budget if you don't have it already. Or shop carefully for a newer used unit.

A Man Cave wasn't meant to be built in a day. Scrounge up whatever "free" components and speakers you can find and use the $800 to fill the gaps. Hint - Lots of used gear will hit Craigslist in about 5 weeks.
