Shure M97xe and Sanyo Plus Q25

Just purchased and installed the Shure M97xe on my Sanyo Plus Q25 and I'm noticing that there is a chance that the belly of the cartridge (the point directly behind the stylus) is dragging on the record. I was wondering if anyone out there has any advice/suggestions. I've tried many different tracking force settings from the maximum recommended to the minimal and am still worried that I'm damaging my records. The sound is terrific and is not an indication of a problem, but my eyes tell me that something might be off. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

Could be the suspension on the cartridge is bad, you might want to exchange or return. Or, provide a picture.
