Wanted to be able to easily switch between my minimus 7's and my DLK's. Could've just bought a selector, but I thought it would be fun to build one. It was fun, and it works exactly like I wanted it to. I simply wired 2 DPDT switches up to some terminals, all mounted in a wine box I snagged from a friend. Cost me less than $25, and it's one of a kind (unless someone copies it... I'll gladly share details if someone wants to). I do plan on staining the box, so it's technically not done yet...

I once build one with four switches, for two pairs of speakers, one three pins switch and one two pins switch per channel.

One three pins switch to chose between speaker A or B
And the two pins switch to put in parallel A + B

The wood looks nice.
WHat do you use to make your dovetail joints?
Scratch that question. Wine crate.
Sweet. Re-purposed gear is always a plus!

Here's how it's wired. I originally tried to solder the connections, but the solder wouldn't stick to the terminals on the switches, so I used ring and spade terminals instead. The switches I used are two-position (no center-off).

I might mount a couple vu meters in the box running off the tape-out on my receiver just to add a little action...
