Trying to swap out the strobe light (or whatever it's called – the visual speed-control light under the glassy pyramid) on the Technics SL-Q3. See picture.
How do I do that, and how difficult is it (with no experience)?
Is it an LED? What products would work?
Where to order?

Thanks for advice!

Check service manual for part number.

Should be a relatively easy task for the knowledgeable turn table restorer.

Maybe too much for a novice/first time user.

Check KAB for part.

If I got that right it's and LED:
SVDEBR5505S (panasonic)
What's the best place to order something like this?

Now comes the tricky part: I want it in green or blue.

As for replacing, I guess I have to open the table and see how hard it is to get to it, and find out if I can replace it myself. May need some help from a friend with clean soldering (if needed).

Thank you, Balifly!

I opened the table. Kinda hard to get to the LED, would have to remove the board and some of the mechanics. See pictures.

Maybe not a job for a novice – unless someone can give me step by step directions (plus, given theres no tricky soldering involved).
Anyone?

Supposedly Panasonic doesn't cary these particular LED bulbs anymore. So far I couldn't find a substitute anywhere on the interweb.
There must be LEDs with similar specs (Volts, connectivity/socket) I could use, no? What exactly should I look for?

Thanks!

What would be a good substitute for the Panasonic SVDEBR5505S LED?

Anybody can guide me through the replacement (step bu step)?

See previous post #4.

Thanks!
