    I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this; if not, please relocate.
    I just saw this on Orange County Craigslist (item is in Anaheim), and thought that
    someone, who likely spends a lot of time in the TUNER forum, might be interested.
    I know these things aren't cheap to purchase new. Yours free, if you act quickly.

    Who is liable if it DOES damage nearby houses as it comes down? I suspect the homeowner, in spite of his disclaimer.

    I don't know. In the picture it looks like it is just strapped to the fascia.

    It looks like it is welded to a steel plate that is sitting on the sidewalk and the ground.

    Well, yes, but should make it easier to take down. Unless the back two legs are in cement and just the front one was done that way because of the sidewalk. But if that were the case I don't think they would bother strapping it to the fascia.
