Solar Eclipse - August 21st, 2017

    My little town is right in the middle of totality next time. I was at work for this one, only 82% here, but still pretty cool.

    I forgot to post on my own thread.

    Had a blast in Nashville! Plan was to make a stop at Grimey's records at some point but never got a chance as traffic only got worse and worse over the weekend. Didn't even drive on eclipse day.

    Clouds rolled in 30 min before totality, then cleared 30 seconds before! We got the full effect. Absolute stunner...

    When we returned to New Orleans (where they saw about 75% coverage) I had many people tell me it didn't look like a big deal at all and wonder why we traveled so far to see it. I've been trying to explain to them that the difference between 99% totality and 100% is everything.

    I won't be missing the one in 2024. That was amazing.
