In the interests of speedy navigation and promoting the health of all the forums on the site (which rarely happened at AU) ... [note - apologies in advance to those who already know this]
One of the great features of vB is the ability to quickly read the most recent new posts across all forums and topics. Instead of bookmarking specifically the vintage forum at this site in your favorites list, I would recommend that you just bookmark the home page of the forum, and use the "View New Posts" link.
This is situated on the far right, just below the "Welcome back, XXXX" message.
This link will enable you to quickly see what is going on across the whole site in all forums, on all topics. Then you won't need to flip backwards and forwards around forums, which can become a bit irritating.
As I said, apologies to those who already know this ... you other "old dogs" (Pete) give it a shot ...
