I can think of quite a few classical compositions that demand to be played at a realistic concert-hall volume, but none that must be played louder than that if the system is capable of higher volume.
 
"Frankenstein Goes To The Disco" on the Billy Cobham/George Duke Band-"Live" On Tour In Europe; the rest of the album, with Alphonso Johnson and John Scofield, is killer as well. OPG.
