sonic impact amp and ipods

Anybody tried hooking up sonic impact amps and speakers to ipods? My daughter has been asking me to buy the portables like the altecs/jbl for her ipod but after hearing the good reviews on this forum, the sonic impact set might be a better deal. Thanks for any advise.

Yes, I have!

All the songs on my iPod are 320 kbps AAC files. I've tried the iPod hooked directly to my Sonic Impact, and several different speakers. I'm not kidding, you won't believe how good it sounds.

$30 plus the AC adaptor, and whatever speakers you use you'll get much better sound quality than any "mp3-ready" speakers you could ever find.

The best $30 you'll ever spend. :thmbsp:

I hooked up mySonic Impact amp to my Sony SS-M9 speakers and have to admit, it blew away my Denon setup in clarity, it just won't play as loud.

yes, very clear amp. Has enough power for me in a 11x11 room, for most situations. The harshness calms down quite a bit over 50 hours of burn in. I like it best with warmer speakers.
