Sonos Connect and my turntable

I have a Sonos system in my house. I have two Sonos Connects, one Play:3, and one Play:1. I just figured out I can hook my turntable up to one of the Sonos Connects and play my turntable through every Sonos unit in the house. It was super simple to do. I think I might need to buy another Play:3 or Play:1 for the house!

I took the Tape Out of my McIntosh C29 preamp to the input of the Sonos Connect. Then I changed a setting on the Connect. By default, the line-in source level setting is 2, I bumped it up to 10. I used the Tape Out because it is not affected by the volume control of my preamp like Line Out is.

I know its blasphemy to the analog guys but I have Sonos as well and love it. My turntable is currently connected directly to a Connect:Amp and as you said, can stream throughout the house.

This allows listening to records while preparing dinner, for instance. Just make sure you wash your hands before flipping...
