I got a DTC-1000 at an auction for not much. It powers up but fails to load a tape and ejects it.
Similar problem to the one described here.

I've taken it apart and it has a gummed up guide arm bearing (as shown in post #15)

However I'm finding it really hard to get the mechanism out without taking the thing entirely to pieces. What's the most straightforward way of getting to the underside of the mech so that I can clean and lube that annoying little thing?
