Sony sings without the stutter

I've been battling with a Sony CDP 111ES I got for 15.00. It sounds so right when it works. I've cleaned it several times and it still skipped. Then I was told to oil the motor as a last resort. Well I cleaned the shaft the lens rides on with De-Oxit and used a drop of Kroil on the motor figuring I didn't have anything to lose since it didn't work right anyway. So far it plays like a champ. It's still the best sounding player I have. The transport isn't expensive since it's plastic but the thing sure sounds good to my ears. It beats a Denon DCM 260, DCD 800, DVD 1910 and a DVM 3700 for quality of sound. Why is that I wonder? Is it because of better parts or design?
